The Old Country Store (Moultonboro Corner, New Hampshire)

Another place from my happy childhood memories that I wanted to show the girls. Growing up, my sister and I would come here to buy penny candy and extra sour pickles. I was pleasantly surprised by all the new products they carry there now…

These pickles are so sour they’ll make your eyes water. They take a LONG time to eat (they’re full cucumber sized).

A country store in New England that doesn’t sell local maple syrup is not a real country store (IMO). One of my favorite middle school field trips was when we went to a maple tree farm and got to collect sap from the maple trees (and learn about the whole process).

Bear bells could seriously come in handy here. My parents sometimes get bears and moose in their backyard!

OK- there are a ridiculous amount of these turtle ride photos here, but I had to post all of them for my nieces. The expressions on their faces are so hilarious!

Perfect T-Shirt. Grandma was a trooper (and I think happy that she finally got to bring all of her Grandchildren to Storyland)!
