One Morning in Maine

My life-long friend Bethany invited us to her place just outside of Portland, Maine. Our kids had a blast playing together at Calumet the week before, so we were psyched to get together again. I love Maine. It’s such a beautiful place. We met up at Bethany’s beautiful new home for a bit, then headed to the beach. It was an overcast day, but we had a great time anyway…

Quinnie and Kiera with Sawyer, Cooper, and Stella. It’s almost impossible to get a great pic of all 5 kids at once, so I took a bunch…

Homemade seesaw. When we were kids, Bethany and I (and our siblings) spent countless hours on the one at Calumet.

Before heading back to NH, we decided to go to Bailey’s for ice cream. Took some quick pics from the car window..

Bailey’s even had an ice cream flavor designed by Stella’s 2nd Grade class (they’d just had a field trip there to learn about making ice cream).

The Matriarchs of our two families with their Granddaughters (they’ve been great friends since they were roommates in Nursing School in their early 20’s!).

It’s SO hard to say goodbye…

Don’t worry, I think this is just the beginning of another lifelong friendship 🙂

Diana’s Baths (Bartlett, New Hampshire)

I grew up coming to this place every summer and knew I wanted to bring the girls here. Sure enough, they loved it! Diana’s Baths is a series of waterfalls and big eroded rocks that you can wade around in. It’s located just outside of North Conway, NH.

It was pretty crowded the day we went, but we still had a great time. At least one (if not all 4) of the girls are in each of these pics…
