New Hampshire- Random Pics

Here’s my last New Hampshire post from last summer (with the rest of the pics not used in other posts). We are SO psyched to be heading back there this summer. Counting down the days!

When you live in a rural area and want to go anywhere, you’ll be spending some time in a car..

which is fine with me when the roads look like this (nice change of pace for this city girl).

I love that the signs (for what’s located down the road) are just nailed to the tree on the corner…

We made sure to drink as much Root beer as possible since we can’t find it in Germany. Also, it was SO NICE to be back in a country where you can get a full glass of ice with your soda! In Germany, they don’t usually give you any ice, and if you ask for some it’s usually about 2 tiny pieces.

We ate lots of farm stand corn (much to Kiera’s delight!).

Grandma gave the girls her old iPad. Can you tell they love it?

But the best part of the trip for me was meeting up with old friends and family. (above- a pic of me and my sister meeting up with our childhood friends, the Mele sisters).

We had such a GREAT time in America!! Special shout out and MANY thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, who made the whole vacation so special. We’re SO excited to be going back this week!

Visit with Great-Grandma Lorraine

I’m so glad the girls finally got to make some memories with my Grandma Lorraine. She’s 91 years old and still full of life- active with friends and church. I hope I’ve inherited her longevity genes! She just started spending winters in Florida with my Mom, Aunt Marcia, and Uncle Greg (who all own places in a retirement community there). They love having her around because she’s usually the life of the party.

My Grandma has an incredible memory (she watches Jeopardy every night and kills it!), and so many family stories to tell. I love listening to them. My Grandpa died very young, leaving her with 5 young kids to raise alone while she worked full time as a labor and delivery nurse. The woman has grit, I’ll tell ya!

Quinnie and her Great-Grandma formed an instant bond. It was really sweet to see.
