Here’s my last New Hampshire post from last summer (with the rest of the pics not used in other posts). We are SO psyched to be heading back there this summer. Counting down the days!
When you live in a rural area and want to go anywhere, you’ll be spending some time in a car..
which is fine with me when the roads look like this (nice change of pace for this city girl).
I love that the signs (for what’s located down the road) are just nailed to the tree on the corner…
A beautiful drive in Eaton, NH…
The Little White Church (Eaton, NH)
cemetery next to the church
lake and town beach (behind the Eaton church)
Wolfeboro, NH (the oldest summer resort town in America!). I went to High School here for a year.
ice cream treats at Bailey’s Bubble
The girls love Black’s. Lots of essential things for kids like octopus tentacles…
covered bridge in Conway, NH
driving over the bridge
view of the river below…
Calef’s Country Store in Barrington, NH
lots of cool things sold there
Bat houses!
enjoying their penny candy on Calef’s porch
Flatbread Company in North Conway, NH (one of our favorites).
their wood-fired pizza is awesome
sign in their hallway
We made sure to drink as much Root beer as possible since we can’t find it in Germany. Also, it was SO NICE to be back in a country where you can get a full glass of ice with your soda! In Germany, they don’t usually give you any ice, and if you ask for some it’s usually about 2 tiny pieces.
We ate lots of farm stand corn (much to Kiera’s delight!).
Walking to our local homemade ice cream place just down the road…
Grandma gave the girls her old iPad. Can you tell they love it?
But the best part of the trip for me was meeting up with old friends and family. (above- a pic of me and my sister meeting up with our childhood friends, the Mele sisters).
Quinnie and Aunt Jenny (Quinnie thinks she’s pretty great)
taking a break with Grandma in Freedom, NH
This was a favorite book (both girls are obsessed with chickens). It was the inspiration for lots of art work..
for Papa (of course)
We had such a GREAT time in America!! Special shout out and MANY thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, who made the whole vacation so special. We’re SO excited to be going back this week!
Thanks Mama!!
We can’t wait to have you back here in NH…many more memories to make and many blog posts ahead for you Meegan! You have a gift..see you after 6 more sleeps!❤️
