KiTa is short for Kindertagesstätte (Preschool). We got really lucky again- Kiera was placed in a great one. She really seems to like it and never complains about going. We pay a fraction of what we were paying in the States. Tuition is on a sliding scale based on salary until the child turns 5- then it’s free! Quinnie’s school is free as well. Here are some pics of the KiTa…
All of the children need to leave a pair of rain boots and full length rain pants at the school. They are used every day for outside play to keep the kids dry and clean.
Here’s Kiera in hers… She has a dress and raincoat on under there!
All of the children (at Quinnie’s school also) have to wear Pantoffeln (slippers with a rubber sole) inside. You wouldn’t believe the selection of Pantoffeln in all of the stores during back- to -school time. We let the girls pick their own design. These are the ones Kiera wanted…
I love seeing where the girls go to school and to see the smiles on their faces! The schools look very organized, sunny and bright!
